Copyright & Author Rights
Author Copyright
Authors retain copyright of their published work while granting SOLAV Journal certain publishing rights:
- Authors retain full copyright ownership
- Authors grant SOLAV first publication rights
- Authors can deposit in repositories immediately
- Authors can reuse in future works without restriction
- No transfer of copyright to the journal
Journal Publishing Rights
SOLAV Journal receives the following non-exclusive rights:
- Right to publish and distribute the article
- Right to translate into different languages
- Right to create adaptations and summaries
- Right to include in databases and indexes
- Right to sublicense under same CC BY terms
Copyright Agreement
Upon manuscript acceptance, authors complete a Publishing Agreement that formalizes these rights. The agreement does not transfer copyright but grants necessary publishing permissions. Authors receive a copy for their records.
Self-Archiving & Repository Policy
We encourage authors to self-archive their work to increase visibility and ensure long-term preservation. Our policy follows the green open access model with immediate deposit rights.

Data Sharing Policy
SOLAV Journal requires authors to share research data underlying publications to support reproducibility.
- Requirement: Deposit data in a trusted repository (e.g., Zenodo, Figshare, OSF, discipline-specific repositories).
- License: Data should be licensed under CC0 or CC BY 4.0 where possible.
- Exemptions: Data sharing may be waived for privacy, legal, or ethical reasons (must be stated in Data Availability Statement).
- Verification: Editors may request data during peer review to verify findings.

Third-Party Material
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce any third-party material (images, tables, etc.) in their articles. Such material should be clearly identified with proper attribution. SOLAV Journal cannot publish material without appropriate permissions.
