Detailed Policy Sections
Complete guidelines for handling corrections, retractions, and withdrawals.
A correction may be issued when minor errors are identified that do not invalidate the main findings of an article.
When Corrections Apply:
- Typographical or formatting errors
- Author name or affiliation inaccuracies
- Minor data or reference errors
- Errors introduced during production
- Missing or incorrect supplementary material
Procedure:
- Error identification (by author, reader, or editorial team)
- Assessment of error significance
- Preparation of correction notice
- Publication of separate notice linked to original article
- Update of article metadata where appropriate
Note: Corrections are published as separate notices, clearly labeled, and permanently linked to the original article. The original article remains accessible in its corrected form.
An article may be retracted when its findings are no longer reliable due to serious errors or ethical violations.
Grounds for Retraction:
- Data fabrication or falsification: Invention or manipulation of research data
- Plagiarism or duplicate publication: Unauthorized use of others' work or republication without disclosure
- Unethical research practices: Violation of human/animal research ethics
- Severe methodological errors: Fundamental flaws invalidating conclusions
- Legal or copyright violations: Infringement of intellectual property rights
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest: That would have affected peer review
Retraction Notice Content:
- Clear title identifying as "Retraction"
- Complete citation of retracted article
- Names of all authors (unless deceased or unreachable)
- Reason for retraction in transparent language
- Statement of who is retracting the article
- Date of retraction
Important: Retracted articles remain available in all platforms with "RETRACTED" watermark and are not removed from the literature. This preserves the scholarly record while alerting readers.
SOLAV Journal respects authors' rights to manage their scholarly work. Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript at any time before publication.
Withdrawal Procedure:
- Request submission: Written request from corresponding author to [email protected]
- Required information: Manuscript ID, title, withdrawal reason
- Co-author approval: Confirmation from all listed authors
- Editorial review: Assessment of withdrawal reason
- Confirmation: Formal withdrawal confirmation email
- Archiving: Internal archiving of manuscript files
Important Notes:
- Withdrawal is free of charge before acceptance
- After acceptance but before publication, withdrawal may involve partial APC recovery
- Post-publication withdrawal is not possible (handled via retraction)
- Repeated or unjustified withdrawals may result in temporary submission restrictions
Repeated Withdrawals
Repeated or unjustified withdrawals may result in temporary submission restrictions. This measure is applied only in cases of systematic abuse and aims to protect editorial resources and reviewer time.
